Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

I am wearing...

a lot more skirts these days, which I've been designing with Sew What Skirts. I do still wear the occasional pair of slacks, but I find I'm much more comfortable in a skirt. It's been unusually cold this winter, but that hasn't bothered me as much as I thought it would. I have a couple pair of footless tights that I wear on bitter days. Since my skirts come to mid-calf, I can get away with knee-highs. At Payless, I bought a couple pairs of tennis shoes that look like mary-janes. When everything goes on clearance, I'm going to get some Privos, which are of higher quality and offer more support for my bad feet. Dressing this way, I feel so feminine. Femininity is so much more fun than feminism.

"The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity." — Margaret Nadauld, Becoming Women of God

  1. It's you! It's very nice to meet you! I realized a few days ago, and I thought I'd let you know (but I wasn't sure if you'd want me to). Feel free to delete this post if you are not ready for the rest of the world to know quite yet that it's you. I'm all smiles and happiness...

  2. I was just looking at the Privo shoes. The Brooms are way cute. Which ones were you thinking of getting?

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
