Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

What Spices And Sweetens My Life?

Outside My Window...it seems that spring is truly here. Oh, joy! I hope this isn't another week of teasing weather with snow waiting to disappoint us again. But even if it is I'll enjoy this 70 degree day with all my heart.

I am thinking...about my future. What will this new phase in life bring me?

I am thankful for...liberty. In this wonderful country, I can choose what to wear, where to shop, who to love, when to have a family, and how to live my life as long as I don't encroach on others.

I am reading...the last few pages of The Keeper of the Bees for the millionth time. I love this book--the garden--the bees--the friends--the way in which it deals with sin.

From the kitchen...I smell Spencer's cooking. He's been on a kick to eat Spicy Tuna Pasta lately, which he seems to cook nearly every other day. I'm fine that he wants to eat this as a snack. It's full of Omega-3, fiber, protein, and more. Good brain food for a young man studying his brains out.

I am wearing...a white t-top with a light weight sky blue cardigan, tan skirt, and black sporty ballet flats. I feel like a regular lady.

I am creating...nothing today. I've spent a lot of time tying to re-create my health lately. However, I am creating the garden of my dreams in my head. If I had money to spare right now, I would order oodles of perennials to re-do my garden.

I am going...visiting teaching in just a few minutes. I have a new route of sisters that I'm very delighted to get to know better. One sister and I seem to have a lot in common. We've just never taken the time before. This is perfect.

I am hoping...to have a marvelous time at my sixth grandchild's blessing this weekend, where I will also meet the seventh. Joseph is actually flying in for the event.

I am hearing...the sound of silence. I remember as a busy mother of a large family dreaming of this sound.

Around the house...things are a little out of place. I've been spending a lot of time resting the last few weeks. Tomorrow I will definitely need to do a deep clean.

One of my favorite things...is a vase of flowers, which are staring me in the face as we speak. My sweetheart sends me flowers often. I like to put them, where I can see them.

A moment to claim for myself...is devoted to writing. Funny enough my husband just called. But I have lots of moments to myself these days.

God's hand...is everywhere. He leads me to help and goodness.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
