"And the members shall manifest before the church, and also before the elders, by a godly walk and conversation, that they are worthy of it, that there may be works and faith agreeable to the holy scriptures—walking in holiness before the Lord." Doctrine and Covenanats 20:69
What is meant by a godly walk and conversation, works, and walking in holiness? We must live a godly life. If we truely want to be examples of believers of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people we meet and live with, we must walk and talk as Jesus. “Ye are our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men.” 2 Corinthians 3:2 The unconverted will judge the gospel by our speech and behavior. What will this example say to them about our Savior and the truthfulness of our message? That all depends on our words and works. If all of us who profess to be believers of Christ's gospel would honor our covenants or keep ourselves “unspotted from the world,” we would start a revolution! Our baptism and entrance into the church are the beginning of a life of quiet missionary work whether we like it or not. Actions speak louder than words.
"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works?
can faith save him?"
James 2:14
"Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."
2 Corinthians 7:1

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
