Where would I be today, if I hadn't forgiven negligence, offenses against innocence, abuse, hatred, persecution, dishonesty, and contention. I simply would not be here at all.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
Hi Ginger,
ReplyDeleteI grew up in the ward where this took place. President Faust called the bishop in our ward at the time this happened asking what had our ward done to help (sadly, not an awful lot). My mother is friends with a family in this particular Amish community, and witnessed first hand this real forgiveness.
I loved President Faust. You could always tell the depth of his feeling when he spoke. I remember this talk well, and I find its message so touching.
