Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

delightful day

I'm back home finally and hopefully to stay for a good while. Although I like staying home all my travels did have some benefit. I have new memories of family, friends, and places to cherish. One particular memory happened last Friday. My grandmother is 92 and knows that her time is not long upon the earth. Instead of waiting to for her posterity to divide up her possessions, as they see fit, she is doing it herself. Anyway, Friday she had a daughter's party for all her daughters, step-daughters, and daughter-in-laws. Even though I'm a granddaughter I got to attend. We went out to lunch, told stories, laughed, gabbed, and just generally enjoyed each other's company. After lunch, Grandma divided her linen closet. I got some special pieces to remember her by. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my new camera; the battery was dead. Here's a poor picture from my cell phone.

After the death of my grandfather about fifty years ago, my grandmother married the ex-husband of grandpa's first cousin. Some of these ladies are aunties and cousins.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
