Lately, in our Sunday School class (Joseph teaches 17-18-year-olds), we've been discussing the nature of God vs. the nature of Satan.
God desires us to find Joy and Happiness such as He knows. However, He will never force us to comply to His wishes. He gives us the perfect recipe in His Word to obtain Joy and Happiness. He tells us, "The truth will set you free-and-wickedness never was happiness." He gives us absolute choice or agency. His plan leads to knowledge, truth, and freedom--JOY.
Satan desires us to be miserable like unto himself. But he disguises his misery and wickedness as fun. He deceives mortals that choosing to follow God's plan for happiness is bondage and really giving up choice. Ahh...but Satan lies, lack of morals and discipline, are what actually lead to bondage. He wants us to believe that his way is true freedom, while God, the author of choice and agency, is restricting and seeking to make us miserable through so many rules. Satan has been quite successful, leading people to believe that his way is more than a choice; it is a right.
God has given everything, His Son and 1/3 of the hosts of heaven, to protect our right to choose, our agency. Satan on the other hand tried to force his way of non-choice. Will we believe the author of choice and truth or the author of force and lies?

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
