jackpot~guilt and all
Did I tell you that none of my clothes fit? If I stand up too quickly, my skirt ends up bunched around my ankles.
I went thrifting today in Bellevue and hit the jackpot. I got more than I should have. My thrill over acquiring thousands of dollars of nearly new clothing for pennies on the dollar got the better of my frugal bones. The pennies didn't get squeezed too tightly as they slipped out of my fingers. I couldn't hear them scream at all.
Great now I have guilt, but I really, really needed new clothes. Be that as it may, I really, really didn't need as many as I got. Enough! I can't wear sacks for tops and skirts that end up around my ankles now can I?
I may have a fashion show over the next little while to show off my new wardrobe. Watch for my Feminine and Frugal Dressing posts.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.

I know, that thrift store can be a bear at times. I love thrift shopping. I will be excited to see the fashion show.
ReplyDeleteI worked at Goodwill for five years throughout high school and early college. You should know where my paycheck went.
