I got a new library card the other day, because I can't afford to buy all the books I want to read. While I was at the library, I did a little shelf cruising and serendipitously encountered The Practicing Herbalist
. This is a wonderful tool for learning diagnostic procedures. However, it is a little bit "earth-mother." It reminds me of Mothering magazine's political and spiritual climate. If you can put that aside and uncover nuggets of truth, definitely read this book if you are interested in herbal healing.
