Outlook...a little under the weather. Drinking red raspberry leaf tea, I find a bit of relief from sore throat. Mullein and lobelia tinctures help my ears and sinuses. I think I'll be better in no time.
On My Mind...love the surprising ways God chooses to answer my prayers. I asked for a few children to play with--I got 'um. I work with some very nice young people each Monday and get so much more from them than I'll ever be able to give in return.
Delicious In My Kitchen...I made a simple curry with some beans, peas, and rice in my fridge. I try to always beans and rice cooked up for emergencies With exploding head, I'm not in much of a mood to eat or cook but want to serve my family.
Homemaking...Pantry Principle area 1...I've been delayed by the lousy weather in planting out my berry patch...Can you believe it snowed again last night. I saw on our thermometer that the temp was taking a dive and covered my salsa/marinara garden. The indoor garden is producing pounds of greens every day--more than we can eat at times.
Biblio Fix...Terror of the Spanish Main by Marrin--he makes reading history as delightful as an engrossing novel. The Codes of Moses and Hammurabi--I'm enjoying using Omnibus to study the great books very much. Botany for Gardeners and Eco Farm---I'd say that organic gardening is the only way to go for me. It's interesting that people can study the same information and come to two different conclusions. The Third Thousand Years and The Old Testament---This is my favorite way to start the day---keeps my mind and my tongue on the right track. I'm learning so much this year, studying ancient history along with OT.
Praying For...our dear Lizzy and family...good health, uplifted hearts, healing spirits
Appearance...blue and black striped shirtwaist, black prairie underskirt, black leggings, blue cardigan, black birkies...getting an inch trimmed off my hair sometimes soon because of splits
Movement...like my friend Caryn asked, "Does breathing count?" I'm too sore to do anything with all these body aches. At least I know that I'm healthier, and this is just temporary.
Scripture Meditations..."But ye believe not, because ye are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish..." John 10:26-28
My Week is Looking...full of rest and reading...
God Has Been Teaching Me...that He is the source of all that is good in my life. I must look to Him and the glory be His.
Simple Pleasure...early morning visits with my God...
Homemaking Quote:"Whenever I get one of those questionnaires and they ask your profession, I always put down housewife. It's an admirable profession, why apologize for it? You aren't stupid, because you are a housewife. When you are stirring the jam, you can read Shakespeare." The Private World of Tasha Tudor

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
