"Beam-ectomy should precede all mote micro-surgery. Just saying." Ginger Conrad paraphrasing Jesus Christ.

Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

supervisor and planter~journal #25 4/9/2010

Outlook...excited to begin teaching tomorrow...

On My Mind...greens, degrees, and elbow grease...

Delicious in the Kitchen...not much since my garden wilted away, while we were in AZ. I made fried rice with baked tofu for Mother's Day. I adore tofu. I got a stainless-steel rice cooker as a MD gift. Delightful!

Homemaking...Pantry Principle Area 4 and getting my micro-green, square-inch garden into full production again

Biblio Fix...Screwtape Letters with a new bunch of youth...

Praying for...Grandma's comfort...

Appearance...swingy blue floral skirt and coordinating T...perfect for summer and a gift from a dear relative

Movement...working gently back into the Firm and walking

Scripture Meditations...John 19: 25-27 "Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home." Mothers are undoubtedly important. When Jesus the most important person to walk the face of the earth hung dying in agonizing death, he thought of the comfort of his mother. Do I do likewise for my mother and mother-in-law. Do I honor these women the way Jesus taught?

Something New...Using OmnibusI to study Great Books for the next little while...very interesting approach...

My week is looking...new and exciting with my new class and my plans for the garden...Hepworth twins are coming to do the back-breaking physical labor of digging and tilling and spreading compost...I'm to be the supervisor and planter.

God has been teaching me...to think before I speak...will I ever learn this lesson?????

Simple Pleasure...my home...my bed...my family...

Homemaking Quote..."How can it be a large career to tell other people's children about the Rule of Three, and a small career to tell one's own children about the universe? How can it be broad to be the same thing to everyone, and narrow to be everything to someone? No. A woman's function is laborious, but because it is gigantic, not because it is minute. I will pity Mrs. Jones for the hugeness of her task; I will never pity her for its smallness." ~G.K Chesterton

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
