Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life

After reading the Poisonwood Bible, I had no desire to subject myself to Ms. Kingsolver's depressing politics or point of view again. But this is one area, where we agree. Local, sustainable, organic food sources will save our dying nation. Plus, approaching mealtimes as a creative opportunity, rather than a chore is an option--a delicious option. I like her attitude about caring for her family--sacrificing the fast-food lifestyle for a more serene, involved family culture, she discovered happiness. I made the same discovery in my own way. I love this book and hope everyone reads it.
