flowers appear on the earth

I can't believe how blessed I am. Most days this week I've spent digging in my garden. True I paid a couple young men to do this work. But their idea of weeding is to pull the tops off and get paid for it.

Anyway...I've rediscovered how much I love digging in the early morning. I call it sun therapy, the best exercise ever. Yeah, I know...I hate sweat so my gardening hours this time of year are about 6-9 AM and 7-9 PM.

One thing about Cedar City is the wind. I have a very difficult time breathing, when it kicks up. I talked to David Christopher DCS about this. He told me it might be some time before my lungs were over my years of eating dairy with an allergy. So I must be patient and stay indoors on the windy days. But the nice, sunny days are so worth the wait.

The only thing we are harvesting so far is basil--but if all we ever harvest is basil, mmmmmm. I made the most delicious Pizza Margarite with Carmelized Onions on Sprouted Whole Wheat Crust--all organic with homegrown basil. Oh, my it was so delicious, it was hard not to stuff my face. The kids I feed every night couldn't believe it was healthy, but it was.Would have been better with a huge green salad, but all I wanted was pizza. Soy Mozzarella is actually good.

Right now we have lots of flowers, which bring me so much joy. I'm so grateful the Lord saw fit to make the world beautiful as well as functional.

the time of the singing of birds is come" Song of Solomon 2:12

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
