Yours, Mine, and Ours 1968 |
Being a mother of a large family was extremely rewarding but didn't occur without difficulties. My fondest and saddest life memories include my children. However, humbling me and causing me to grow, they rewarded me in countless ways. Contrary to feminist propaganda, children are not problems, nuisances, or hindrances that get in the way of a fulfilling life. Feminist paint a picture that homemaking with a houseful as boring and mind-numbing. On the contrary, efficiency, problem solving and commutication skills, information acquisition for logical analyzation, interpretation and evaluation, monetary and human resource management, diagnostic abilities, logistics, diplomacy, and team work are only some skills learned on the job and utilized by women who are intentional, professional homemakers. Incidentally, these are the same sort of skills needed to be CEO of a major corporation.
If a young woman is bored at home, she simply has not caught the vision of what homemaking with a houseful can be. She does not realize that she is the first and most important teacher of her child(ren), educationally, financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Under most circumstances, if a young mother put the energy that she uses for her hobbies or television into the efficient running of a happy home, she would find great fulfillment and certainly not have time to be bored.
The world teaches that children are not blessings and ought to be limited--children are annoying at best. God's Word teaches us that large families are a blessings and children bring happiness. Satan is the author of worldly doctrine and his goal is to make us as miserable as he has chosen to be. Who would you rather believe, someone who's entire goal is the happiness of man or the misery of man? It is so sad to see young families fall into Satan's trap. To find true happiness, we must understand and follow God's plan. Fulfillment does not come from teaching a roomful of someone else's children; it comes from teaching your own.
I loved the movie Yours, Mine, and Ours

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
