Mindful Musical Meditation...Hilary Hahn-J.S. Bach Violin concerto in E-Adagio...(Hillary Hahn and Jenny Oakes Baker are my favorite violinists, probably, because I've seen both in concert and have a couple CDs from each. They are contemporaries and studied at the Curtis Institute in Chicago.)
Praying For...a mother I mentor, who lives on the East Coast, who will learn the outcome of her little daughter's MRI today...it looks very serious...maybe tumor, chiari malformation, or syringiomylia...been there, not fun...she had an interesting experience during all this. God comforted her with a scripture she had hidden in her heart. Teaching children to memorize is a powerful tool against the adversary. Memorizing words is very difficult for me, but has helped in many similar instances.
Matthew 5:13-16; Doctrine and Covenants 101: 39
Salt is for seasoning, savoring, and preserving. How then do we liken this idea of being the salt of the earth to ourselves? Doctrine and Covenants 103:9-10 Jesus is the light of the world. We, as his disciples, are to hold up His light and be His salt. 3 Nephi 18:16, 24 To the best of our ability we are to be like Him in thought, word, and deed, to be examples of the believers, and to declare the truth of His Word. When we do not follow these commands, we may have beautiful testimonies and vast knowledge of His truth, but we are good for nothing and hiding our light. Declaring the Truth amid the scorn of the world is not easy~hiding behind silence is. That is until we are cast out as good for nothing, having lost our savor.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
