'joy cometh in the morning' Psalm 30:5
'men are that they might have joy' 2 Nephi 2:25
Since this world is so full of sorrow, how can this promise and this goal be true? It's been said that these ideas are the special challenge and test of this lifetime. We are not granted joy by the joy fairy, but are to seek it through hope in Jesus Christ. Joy is the destination.
"My dear ones, in order to experience true joy in the morning, or at any time, at least three factors are needed. You need to feel good about the people with whom you live and work--your companions in life. You must feel good about yourself--not in any sense of conceit, but simply a proper esteem for yourself, well deserved. And possibly most important, you must feel good about your relation to God and sincerely love him." Russel M. Nelson
Joy, then, is experienced through simple pleasures...
looking for the good in our associates...love without criticism and without complaint...choose to see service as a joy...
look for the good in ourselves...rejoice in the gift of life...nurture and keep clean and pure our spirits, bodies, and minds...retire early and arise joyfully singing for the gift of a new day..walk and view Venus and the Moon at 5 AM...joyful
look to God for good...arise early and worship Him daily...follow His commandments to find health in our earthly tabernacles...learn by living His precepts that He loves each of us dearly and desires our happiness...
Let's take the challenge, let's find pleasure in the simple things and wake each morning with joy.
"For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands." Isaiah 55:12
"Let the mountains shout for joy, and all ye valleys cry aloud; and all ye seas and dry lands tell the wonders of your Eternal King! And ye rivers, and brooks, and rills, flow down with gladness. Let the woods and all the trees of the field praise the Lord; and ye solid rocks weep for joy! And let the sun, moon, and the morning stars sing together, and let all the sons of God shout for joy! And let the eternal creations declare his name forever and ever! And again I say, how glorious is the voice we hear from heaven, proclaiming in our ears, glory, and salvation, and honor, and immortality, and eternal life; kingdoms, principalities, and powers!" Doctrine and Covenants 128:23
"Beam-ectomy should precede all mote micro-surgery. Just saying." Ginger Conrad paraphrasing Jesus Christ.
Paradigm Shift
“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.

Joy is a hopeful word to me. I hope for a fullness and have had moments of it.
