"It is the Lord’s way to help those in temporal need requires people who out of love have consecrated themselves and what they have to God and to His work. He has invited and commanded us to participate in His work to lift up those in need." Henry B. Eyring, Opportunities to do Good, Conference, April, 2011
Have I done any good in the world today?
Have I helped anyone in need?
Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad?
If not, I have failed indeed.
Has anyone’s burden been lighter today
Because I was willing to share?
Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way?
When they needed my help was I there?
Then wake up and do something more
Than dream of your mansion above.
Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure,
A blessing of duty and love.Yesterday, was a particularly down day for me with stress induced sickness and fatigue from overwork. Around here we call that sort of day a face-plant day.
God is so good.
About 4 weeks ago, I spent considerable time preparing for a short meeting with a dear woman from my church. When her little girl was three, I was her teacher and have never before or since met such an endearing child. Anyway, this woman has been asking me for at least a year to share my secret for re-gaining health. Then when I would contact her, she always had some excuse. She saw my fall into ill-health and rise into vibrant health a few years back. Now she is in a similar situation with devastating health loss that sucked their family savings dry and left them without a mom that could keep the home. I prepared. I demonstrated. I taught. Then she went home without another word.
I was a little deflated by her reaction. Yesterday, I saw her at church, and she looked great. She has color in her cheeks. She had sparkle in her eyes. She thanked me for helping her and told me she had been following my advice for the last month, which advice came directly to me through revelation from God. Although she has a long way to go in re-gaining her health, she has taken the first steps. This news lifted my spirits quite a bit.
I served her, and she served me. God used His servants to accomplish His purposes and to do His work.
My life and health are not perfect yet. They may never be. But God in His mercy and infinite wisdom has led me to know that He provided for the perfect antidote for all illness in the lovely rainbow of plant food He placed upon the Earth. In a nutshell, this is what I taught her. Green Smoothies~Mega-Huge Salads~Fruit Sorbets~as close to their natural state mostly raw in as much volume as possible. Pounds of raw veggies, roots, and fruits every day is God's cure for everything.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
