a novel based on my grandmother's life. This has been in the works for some time. When I began last spring, I wrote several chapters. It stalled. I just could not move forward. Sadly, I shelved it. However, I didn't stop thinking about it. A couple weeks ago, I thought of a new direction for this story. I've begun the mental process of outlining and researching. Maybe this new version will begin to flesh out soon.
My grandmother led a fascinating life, and I grew up the hearing stories. If my poor writing skills can capture the essence of this amazing woman, I might just have the next Anne or Sarah on my hands.
Good luck with this. I have always had dreams of writing, but I don't think my talent lies in fiction. Have you thought of joining a writing group?
