Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

What do you think?

My friend over at Island School house posted these 9 principles and 7 values crucial for the saving of America. She listens to a man named Glenn Beck of whom I Know very little. However I agree these ideas and thought I'd pass them on. Tell me what you think!

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God, and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law, you pay the penalty. Justice is blind, and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have, and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

By embracing the following values, we can mend our broken country.

  • Honesty
  • Reverence
  • Hope
  • Thrift
  • Humility
  • Charity
  • Sincerity
  • Moderation
  • Hard Work
  • Courage
  • Personal Responsibility
  • Friendship

  1. I like them, although I must disagree with 2 of them. God is the ultimate authority, even more so than the parents, but I understand the context here.
Also, justice can be satisfied by other means, namely if someone else can satisfy the law on your behalf. I believe that consequences must happen, and we cannot shrink from justice, but justice may not always be satisfied by the one who committed the offense (within the constitutional law, this would be extremely rare). Other than that, I think they are very good points. I know Glen Beck is asking people to sign something and send their pictures in, to show just how many people are out there that uphold these ideas.

  2. My husband and I listen to the Glenn Beck talk show sometimes and then there are times when the reality is just too much to take in all at once.
Bottom line~~~we must rid ourselves of the jackels in the White House and press on to make this country a beautiful place and to see our Grandchildren grow and care for. So much has changed in the past years and now they are just openly stating that they are brainless and sheeple instead of God's sheep.
Nothing new under the sun....just more brass about what they feel and choose to push down the throats of the ones that want a country to call home again.
We must all pray for unity that is becoming more and more like a seperation.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
