My honey and I are having a great time re-discovering each other since becoming empty-nesters. We've decided that we don't really care to watch many movies, although we watched a funny spin on Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice last night, Lost in Austin. What we really enjoy doing together is reading aloud.Joseph has always wanted to study astronomy but never had the time. I thought a great introduction would be Times and Seasons, a sort of beginner's guide through classical astronomy that I've enjoyed before. What can I say, I like books for homeschoolers. They are always well written, with this one being written in an interesting conversational style. We've been taking turns reading aloud from it each morning after our scripture study. This new phase in life is enjoyable in many ways, but I really miss being a hands-on mom. Taking time to do things together daily is easing my transition.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
