small town

After spending time in various big cities this summer, I've decided that I really like small towns. Even though resources such as shopping are limited, I prefer the pace of small town life. I like to walk to the grocer and library. I like the relative safety. I like knowing all my neighbors. I don't however like the snow.

My yard is an atrocious mess. We have a fine crop of weeds, but I think I have time before it gets too cold to clean things up. We're going to ask the contractor down the street to take a look at our leaky basement. We're going to chop down the overgrown ornamental trees in the front and useless 30 ft. apple tree in the back. I've got to move the dogwood to the back corner behind the shed as soon as all the leaves fall.

Maybe we'll stay here--maybe we won't. But wherever we end up, it'll be a small town.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
