Cheryl Mendelson, Home ComfortsThis says it all, but I don't think it only applies to cooking. Every area of homemaking can be interesting and enjoyable if we choose to make it so. I have to say that I've grown to love my job from ironing, to dish washing, to cooking, to whatever the task at hand. I'm so grateful to have a home that needs cleaning, food that needs cooking and cleaning up after, clothing that needs caring for, family that needs to be thought of, and so on. Happiness and joy and delight are a choice as are tiredness, grumpiness, and depression.
Have you ever seen a person who is tired and out of sorts meet unexpectedly with a dear friend or relative. Magically, the dark, blue mood evaporates into loving smiles and expressions of delight and joy. Why cannot this mood be dispersed by praying and willing it away? I'm here to attest that it can.
