glued to the set~book review #14

America and Vietnam: The Elephant and the Tiger America and Vietnam: The Elephant and the Tiger by Albert Marrin

I love books by Albert Marrin. He brings history to life even better than a good piece of historical fiction without the fiction. The early part of my life was filled with scenes from this war on the TV after dinner. My friend's big sister grieved deeply over the loss of her boyfriend~they had graduated high school a couple months earlier. Glued to the set, I watched as President Nixon resigned and the POWs came home. Because I was so young, I didn't understand any of it until reading this book. Actually, I learned a lot about every person or event expounded in each of his books.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
