Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

Outlook...optimistic...can't wait to see the girlies, hubbies, and grands family this week...let the weather be picnic and park weather...please!

On My Mind...just finished a very fun project...something I can send to the grands each week for quite awhile, which will neither cost a lot or burden the parents.

Delicious In The Kitchen...I'm working on a new cookbook that updates favorite recipes from my old books and adds new ones...the theme is top secret but makes me laugh every time I say it.

Homemaking...Area 5 in Pantry Principles...I got seriously behind on my laundry this week. My worm bins are in the laundry room and cause a bit of crowding and therefore resistance. I need to find a new location for them. Plus, they got infected with a tiny red mite and need to be dumped out very far from our house and garden. Arrrggghhhh! I'll have to continue buying soil for my indoor garden for awhile longer.

Biblio Fix...This week I've done really well at staying on task with my studies and have no new books to report...except for the ones that might arrive through inter-library loan...ILL is the only way I can keep myself in books...it's a fabulous service...well I do pay to use the SUU library but not as much as I would if I bought all the books I read.

Praying For...our sweet Gayle, the grandone of the week.

Appearance...Khaki ballet-length, straight skirt with kick pleat, cute blue T that has a layered look without being layered, brown champion mary janes...

Movement...lots of walking...we've been taking walks morning and night...lots of gardening~pruning, weeding, digging, and smiling in the sun...a tiny bit of weight lifting that absolutely must expand into 30 minutes a day this week without excuse.

Scripture Meditations..."Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them." Jeremiah 29:5

Something New...a book of patterns to make the cutest retro aprons for my daughters, granddaughters, and myself. Shhhhh...This may be Christmas or may not. Since they don't read this, they'll never know one way or the other.

My Week Is Looking...full of blessings and happy activity...I love teaching and have been blessed with a few new youth to mentor...studying is hard but I'm finally out of my rut with memorizing the 100 herbs list...the berry patch is ready to receive its first inhabitants~my mary frances moment...

God Has Been Teaching Me...a little humility...a hard lesson but a good if I learn it well.

Simple Pleasure...studying in the sun...gardening in the sun...sitting and watching the bees in the sun...sun...

Homemaking Quote..."One of the reasons women writing about homemaking a century ago were so self-possessed is that neither they nor their readers were conflicted about the importance of their subject. A Victorian woman's home was her eminent domain, and she ruled over it with as much confidence as Queen Victoria ruled the world." Sarah Ban Breathnach

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
