Woman Reading Alexander Deineka

On My Mind...changes in the wind

Celebration...time with Spencer in the Temple.

Praying For...Those that serve the Lord in dangerous places. The leaders of the US and a good outcome on Tuesday's election. Tyson the Great... he's a funny, bright little man. I pray for safety, health, and happiness for him and all children of the earth. Praying for peace. Praying for our soon to be missionary.

Homemaking...staying on track...loving routine and how it brings me peace and a tidy home

Deliciousness...enjoying plain simple food...veggies, herbs, fruit, beans, nuts, seeds, and a bit of grain...made a yummy, spicy tofu (non-GMO organic) stir fry last night with a little ginger (he, he)...studying herbalism I find that some of my favorite foods are healing as well...ginger, cinnamon, garlic, hot peppers, onions, apples, greens, flax seeds, beans, oregano, thyme, sage, parsley, cilantro, and on and on...All I have to do is keep enjoying the fresh, whole bounty of nature in its most natural state, and I'll keep getting more and more healthy. God knew what he was doing.

Appearance...denim mid-calf skirt, white V-neck, long-sleeved T, plum heather v-neck sweater, black blazer--lately I've observed that my way of dressing is sort of Annie Hall of the 21st century without the crazy boots and hats---although I do love hats, they make me crazy...

Scripture Meditations..."Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:" Matthew 6:19-20

Towards a Real Education...grateful that I can spend my days learning but have decided to keep my study notes private again...once again I've succeeded in offending others, an activity that I've turned into an art form...reading America and Vietnam again in preparation for a DSST test on that era. I love Albert Marrin books. They offer the best preparation for my educational direction at present. Of course they aren't the only resource I use, but I love the way that man paints pictures of history.

What's Coming...uncertainty not disclosed...living by faith

Simple Pleasure...time with family

  1. We LOVE reading the Albert Marrin books as well! They provide an excellent detail of history.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
