John testifies that Jesus is the true light....

I'm using an Ipad to do my work for the next few days, for which I'm truly grateful. Even though it cannot cut and paste documents, is slow between windows, and won' upload pictures, it allows me to study and write my thoughts.

"In the beginnign was the gospel preached through the Son, And the gospel was the word, and the rd was with the Son, and the Son was with God, and the Son was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made wich was made. In Him was the godpel, and the godpel was the life, and the life was the light of men; and the light shineth in the world, and the world preceiveth it no. There was a man sent fm God,, whose name was John. The smae came into the world for a wiess, to bear witness of the ligh, bear record of the godpel through the Son, unto all that through Him men might believe He was not that light but came to bear winess of that light, which was the true light, which lighteth every man who cometh into the world; Even the Son of God. He who was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew HIm not But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God; only to them who believe on His name. He was born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, And the smae word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we behld His glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." St. John 1:1-14

Jesus' mission began in the pre-mortal world, where he dwelt with the Father, long before His miraculous birth in Bethlehem. Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Son, Jesus christ and works under the direction of the Father. Through Jesus, the godpel was taught in the premortal world. He created the heavens and earth. He is the only begotten of the Father in the flesh.

"But these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, th Son of God; and that believing ye might have lifer through His name." St John 20:31

Christ is Greek for annointed. My testimany that Jesus is the Christ indicates that I believe He is the Son of God, annointed and foreordained to be my Savior. Studying the New Testament this year, I hope to strengthen my testimany that Jesus is the Christ, my true light.

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." James 1:5-6

In Jesus is light and life. As I seek to know Him through study and prayer, He gives me line upon line, precept upon precept that will hopefully with enough time lead to wisdom.

Even though I was not on earth during Jesus' ministry, John 1:10-14 can apply to me. "We need not visit the Holy Land to feel Him close to us. We need not walk by the shores of Galilee or among the Judean hills to walk where Jesus walked. IN a very real sense, all can walk where Jeus walked, when with His words on our lips, His spirit in our hearts, and His teachings in ur lives, we journey throuh mortality." (Thomas S.
