act without delay

Mindful Musical Meditation~J.S. Bach-Brandenburg Concerto No, 5 in D-Affetuso

Praying For~my sweetie who has nobody to take care of him while a little under the weather.

"I believe the Lord meant just what he said: that we should be perfect, as our Father in heaven is perfect. That will not come all at once, but line upon line, and precept upon precept, example upon example, and even then not as long as we live in this mortal life, for we will have to go beyond the grave before we reach that perfection ans shall be like God. But here we lay the foundation. Here is where we are taught these simple truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ, in this probationary state, to prepare us for that perfection, It is our duty to be better today than we were yesterday, and better tomorrow that we are than we are today...If we are keeping the commandments of the Lord, we are on that road to perfection." Joseph Fielding Smith

Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount to help us desire to follow Him, emulate His character, and live the greatest commandment of them all, Love thy neighbor as thyself.

"Yea, come unto Christ, ans be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and lov eGod with all your might, mind, and strength, then is His grace sufficient for you, that by His grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the gface of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God." Moroni 10:32

Let us look to the invitations of the Sermon and apply them to our lives. When that little inspiration to do good or help someone pops into our heads, let us recognize it for what it is, whisperings of the Holy Ghost. Then let us act upon inspiration without delay, with gentleness, forgiveness, mercy, humility, empathy, purity, a refusal to take offense, and a hunger to do as Jesus would do.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
