Jesus died for me that I might live again
At this season of the year, I like to reflect on my Savior, the Lord, Jesus Christ. This year thoughts of the atonement are especially poignant for me with the death of my FIL, the near death of my sweet granddaughter, and the terminal nature of my MILs illness. These experiences have brought to reality my mortality and the swiftness of the passage of time. Thirty years ago, my MIL was the same age as I am now. Time passed and her health was destroyed by her choices and general aging. Will I have to endure dementia, cancer, and pain like her? Will my body shut down before I leave the earth like my FIL? Will we loose any more sweet young spirits prematurely?
Putting my trust in Jesus is my only comfort. Knowing that He atoned for my sins, that He allows repentance, that He overcame death and was resurrected, I can move forward and take a step towards tomorrow. Without a doubt, I know He lives and loves me personally. I know I will see my loved ones again.I know that my sins are forgiven through His atonement if I but ask. I know that I will take up this body again in an immortal state and live in the arms of His love forever. I know that families are important on Earth and continue to be important throughout all eternity.
Jesus died for me that I might live again.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
