love and acceptance

Luke 15:11-32

The prodigal sone wasted his inheritance. Once his riches were gone so were his so called friends. Finally, when hungry and alone, he remembered the love of his father and repented his choices. His heart was broken. Like any parent whose child lives a wasteful or dangerous lifestyle, the father was overjoyed at the return of his son. He did not scold his son but received him with rejoicing.

This is a message of hope for all who have sinned and a message to teach forgiveness. First, since we have all sinned to one degree or another, we are prodigal and must beg forgiveness. Additionally, we should remember the attitude of the father in accepting and forgiving the prodigal. Let us be as the father instead of the older brother, with his jealousy and self-righteousness. Those who carry sin burdens need love and acceptance as they attempt to journey back to the fold.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
