Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

sun kissed...journal #11-March 28-April 2, 2011

On My Mind...feeling really uncomfortable with the direction I've gone with this blog over the last couple weeks...I think I'll go back to just keeping my journal here...If anyone wants help with homemaking issues, they can contact my privately...see update below

Celebration...only 2 weeks to go!

Prayers...Gracie 1st child of daughter #4...sparkly live wire and Micah hubby to daughter #1...I am so blessed to have such a great family...praying to find ways to spend more time with them...praying for families around the world to find peace and happiness....

Scripture Meditations..."Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing." Psalm 100:2 Pollyanna sure was right; gladness is a lot more fun than depression.

Deliciousness...Japanese Adzuki and Nori Soup-sort of like hot vegan sushi in a bowl...I love sea weed...doesn't that sound strange...

Movement...got T-Tapp Total this week...wow...it's hard...but am thrilled at how it is bringing movement back into my hip...basic sucked away the pain; total is finishing the healing.

Thimble News...had plans to sew all day Saturday but my machine decided it was time to go to the hospital...patience...

Commitment to Modesty....wearing A-line denim skirt, white blouse with red and black stripes, black fair isle sweater, black leggings and socks, black mary-jane mules house shoes...

Commitment to Loveliness...need to clean off back porch and move the compost containers to the cement pad behind the shed....I compost for my indoor garden in containers and for the outdoor garden in a loose pile...compost makes the world a lovelier place...

Toward a Real Education...feeling pretty uncomfortable about this direction too...not sure I'm doing God's will and need to re-examine my priorities...update: a sleepless and prayerful night has brought clarity to this issue...rocks, pebbles, sand, water...I just wrote a lesson for the high school students I mentor about this subject...rocks-husband, my family, God (devotions and church), self-care (exercise and nutrition), and homemaking including gardening and sewing...pebbles and sand-writing, mentoring, and studying...I had it backwards for a few weeks and have not felt happy at all...Reading Mathematics and the Physical World by Morris Kline--fascinating...

Sound of Music...got out the guitar...it is a much easier instrument to play than violin or piano...remembering how much I used to love singing along with my guitar playing...renewed joy...Dearest Children is my hymn for the month...

Natural World...sat in the shade to cool off after working in the yard for a few hours Friday...it was warm in the sun...I still can't believe I'm healthy enough to dig for hours and walk for miles...enjoying the moon in the mornings

Garden Gate...climbed into the apple tree and pruned it...double digging beds and hope to get asparagus planted in the next couple days...

Bee Buzz...expecting a package of bees soon to take residence in vacated hive #1...

Cottage Dispensary...enjoying red raspberry leaf, hibiscus, and red clover infusion lately...

Simple Pleasure...sun kissed cheeks...

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
