John 9
Jesus is the light of the world. To the blind man Jesus gave literal light, when He took away his blindness. Later after the excommunication of the blind man, Jesus offered him spiritual light.
As today, many refuse to believe undeniable evidence or testimony from believers. There was not refuting the man was once blind and was healed. Yet those in authority refused to believe. Even though we may be mocked like the blind man, we have a responsibility to share our testimonies.
Even the blind man, who experienced this great miracle, did not have perfect belief at his first questioning. As time went on, his conviction grew that indeed Jesus was the Son of God. Likewise, as we tell of our spiritual experiences our testimony will grow and strengthen.
The Pharisees could not agree where Jesus power originated. The blind man's parents feared the wrath of the Pharisees. We too might be confused or fearful to bear testimony of Jesus. Jesus will help us in times of adversity just as He helped the blind man.
