"Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?" Romans 2:21–22
My testimony of gospel principles comes from striving to living them each day. Because I wish to influence those around me, it is vitally importance for me to live these principles. My example teaches more than my words. It's not as if I believe I can buy my way into heaven by being good. Rather by being good, God can teach and influence me through the Holy Ghost. Sometimes I feel this influence strongly. At other times, when I don't do as I should, I feel lost and alone. These times are instigated by my lack of obedience or demonstrations of pride. To open the widows of heaven and receive all He has to give, I must accept and act upon His will and promptings in addition to living the principles of His word.
"If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." John 7:17
