Hebrews 1 tells us much about Jesus. He created the earth (verses 2, 10). I sometimes wonder if this means everything around the earth, since everything in our solar system affects and effects the earth. He is in the image of God the Father (verse 3). Like every other mortal (he has a mortal mother) to walk the face of the earth, he has a human frame although His is perfect being. He atoned for our sins (verse 3). This is wonderful, amazing, and incomprehensible to me. He is the Firstborn Son of God the Father (verses 5–6). While we are the Father's spiritual offspring, He is the literal physical offspring. His glory and power are eternal and unchanging (verses 8, 12). He was born a god and will remain a god, since his paternal inheritance is from God, the Father.
I suppose it's faith to accept these things about Jesus. After all I was not there to witness it. However, I can't ignore personal spiritual experiences, visitations, and revelations that are a literal witness of the truth of His existence, power, interest, and love. For some unexplainable reason, He cares enough about me to atone for my sins and continually reach out to direct my paths. When on this earth He had a physical body, which was resurrected after His death. He carries that resurrected body still, which is now perfect and immortal, as His spirit was before His atoning sacrifice, crucifixion, and resurrection.
I sometimes contemplate eternity vs. time as connected to the Atonement. Eternal beings experience no time, because eternity is one eternal round. When Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments, did He say this as a literal statement? Was Rembrandt's painting of raising Jesus more than figurative? Is His suffering for our sins eternal or was it a single event in time?

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
