Many of you may not care a lick about my day. I only mention it for one reason. I did not roll over and die with this tough day. I'm getting better. Finally, the promisses of my priesthood blessing are coming to light. In the blessing I was told that the doctors would find out what was wrong with me and find a way to treat it. I would have a full recovery. After nearly 2 years, I was starting to loose faith--but only the tiniest little bit.
In our home we've witnessed many miraculous healings. Chiari malfomation vanished. Hemorages stopped. Broken bones mended without the accompanying dr. prognosis coming to pass. We have had disappointments, when God didn't allow a miracle for his own reasons. It was difficult to understand some of these. Yet we keep our faith, trusted God, and kept moving forward with optimism.
"And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them." Mark 6:5
"For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith." Ether 12:12
The words to my favorite hymn give me such hope. Actually, most of the hymns are favorites depending on the day. Today Press Forward Saints plays on the stereo of my mind.
Press forward, Saints, with steadfast faith in Christ,
with hope’s bright flame alight in heart and mind,
with love of God and love of all mankind.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Press forward, feasting on the word of Christ.
Receive his name, rejoicing in his might.
Come unto God; find everlasting light.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Press on, enduring in the ways of Christ.
His love proclaim thru days of mortal strife.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
