Paradigm Shift

“The list of health problems I think it would very hard to live with is SO much longer than the list of foods I previously thought I couldn’t live without,” Merrill Alley.

personal revelation...journal May 1-7, 2011

Peter Paul Rubens  Christ In The House Of Martha And Mary

On My Mind....personal revelation...

Celebration...after weeks of anxiety, I think I am ready for the conference...

Scripture Meditation..."In all they ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths." Proverbs 3:6 I have seen that this week and many other times in my life. When it seems that everything is converging to destroy, it is time to sit back and listen. God will tell all who ask and listen just how to solve their problems and why things are going differently than planned. He is so good.

Praying For...Claire youngest child of daughter #1...Emily daughter #3--I pray for their happiness, health, and safety...I pray for children everywhere that they will have safety and security and for their parents to have peace...

Deliciousness...made a yummy ginger tofu steam-fry last night with mixed brown and red rice...Jason and Kelsey gave me a wonderful cookbook called Raw that I find very intriguing.

Commitment to Modesty...with warmer weather, I'm wearing a lot more Ts...it is amazing how much they shrunk over the winter...now that no sweater is over top, they seem a little tight and revealing....time to bless someone else with the Ts...

Thimble News...can't wait to sew all my planned projects once this pressure is off...

Towards a Real Education...my focus will be on studying for my remaining tests and writing my science series....

Sound of Music...this brings me so much joy everyday...playing and singing hymns as part of my devotional changes the whole feel of my day...

Natural World...I love to hear the birds singing in the trees and this week I was treated to such concerts of beauty....although I don't like being out in the wind, I do like to listen to it...It reminds me of the ocean that I miss so much...This morning just before I awoke, I dreamed of the ocean, rousing to a breeze coming in the window and dancing through the trees...love it...

Garden Gate...transplanted oodles of strawberries to the blueberry bed...Instead of trying to grow a vegetable garden this year, I'm going to grow green manure crops in an attempt to improve the soil...we plan to put in automatic drip in the kitchen garden beds and make the beds permanent....meaning no more tilling!!!!!!...irrigation from ditch water brings way too many weeds and who knows how many chemicals...we are done with it for good...phlox, tulips, hyacinth, strawberries, and thyme are blooming this week.

Happy Homemaking...Martha-I did much better with my responsibilities. I love a tidy, well-ordered home. I know that sticking with my routine and areas will solve my laxity of late. In a few weeks, everything will be as it should be again...Mary-spent all week praying about homemaking vs. writing...personal revelation at the temple gave me the answers I was seeking...stay on the M&M path, trust God, and everything will work out...my science series will take a slightly different direction, which was clearly outlined to me at the temple...soooo, I'll be reworking the astronomy book first to include chemistry or at least a study of the elements...I love my career as homemaker, since it allows creativity in so many without entering the rat race outside my walls...

Bee Buzz...the girls are actively collecting pollen and nectar from the plethora of spring blossoms...

Simple Pleasure...new down bed pillows and a lovely temple dress for Mother's Day...

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
