choose His path
Matthew 27:1–26; Mark 15:1–15; Luke 23:1–25; John 18:28–19:16
Because Jesus was a Galilean, Pilate delivered him to Herod, governor of Galilee. Herod had heard of Jesus miracles and was glad that Jesus stood before him. Herod hoped Jesus would show him a miracle. Jesus, the Savior of mankind remained silent to Herod’s questioning.
"Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing." Luke 23:9
"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth." Isaiah 53:7
Not getting what he desired, Herod and his men mocked Jesus and sent him back to Pilate. Pilate found no fault worthy of the death sentence in Jesus. Because the people desired it, Pilate sentence Jesus to be crucified. The he publicly washed his hands, indicating he was not responsible for the sentence.
Oh, that it were that easy to avoid the consequences of our choices. Repentance is available to all sinners, but it requires the sacrifice of a broken heart and contrite spirit. When the sinner does not repent, they pay for their sins in the next life. However, even if we repent in this life, earthly consequences remain.
Jesus kingdom is not of this world. Likewise, his saints are to be in the world but not of it. Our work here is to be instruments in His hands to build His kingdom in heaven. How is that done? We do our best to be examples of His gospel and share His good news to those who will listen. He is so peaceful and merciful. Living His commandments brings peace upon all who choose His path.
"Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory." Psalm 24:10
"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." Revelation 11:15
"For he that raiseth up a king against me shall perish, for I, the Lord, the king of heaven, will be their king, and I will be a light unto them forever, that hear my words." 2 Nephi 10:14

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
