Feeling better than I have for 30 years after starting the Eat to Live program two years ago, I am committed to my health and Dr. Fuhrman's Holiday Challenge! This year, as I celebrate the holidays and enjoy the company of my family and friends, I will make food choices that support my health. For the next 6 weeks, I promise to:
Feeling better than I have for 30 years after starting the Eat to Live program two years ago, I am committed to my health and Dr. Fuhrman's Holiday Challenge! This year, as I celebrate the holidays and enjoy the company of my family and friends, I will make food choices that support my health. For the next 6 weeks, I promise to:
- Eat a large salad and drink a green smoothie everyday
- Enjoy a generous serving of steamed greens with mushrooms and onions
- Satisfy my sweet tooth with fresh fruit
- Eat 1 c. or more of beans, limit cooked whole grains to 1/2 c, and eat very small amounts of nuts, avocados, and seeds each day.
For the next 6 weeks, I promise to:
- Avoid white flour and other refined foods
- Avoid sugars & artificial sweeteners
- Use oils and animal products sparingly if at all
I will not allow peer pressure or tempting toxic foods to derail me from my health goals.
I will not compromise my health to please others.
I will set an example of health-mindedness for those around me.
I will walk a little, sing a little, sun a little, and smile a lot.
