Sunday School...because it is Christmas, Sunday School is cancelled. I always spend time with Luke 2 on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Also I like to recite The Living Christ. Focusing less on commercialism and more on Christ has made a huge difference. Jesus is my Savior and King, and that's all that really matters.
Praying for...Lori and Gracie...peace on earth and good will toward men ( and women and children)...
Sound of Music...sang lots of Christmas hymns and carols last night...
Bibliophelia...re-working my schedule to fit in weekly GB, memorizing the 100 herbs list, and the scholar schedule along with my devotionals, homemaking tasks, and writing...I think I have it figured out and am hopeful for the new year...I tried to get all my scholars on the same schedule. Because they are all individuals, it lasted about 5 minutes. I decided to follow the original accelerated scholars, since I like the pace. Writing is taking less time now, so it isn't so overwhelming.
The Herbalist...BIL had success removing skin lesions with my protocol. It works like magic. It isn't actually magic but 100s of years of accumulated knowledge using the herbs God put upon the earth for this very purpose.
Walking Trail...It is ever so much nicer to walk in 50F than 10F. Early morning walks are the best time to star gaze.
Healthy Kitchen...SIL had a Christmas Eve Brunch but did make sure there was a fruit salad and veggie tray for me. I ate my fill, but there was a lot left. Magically the cleaning crew picked at the fruit and veggies until they were gone. Plants win hands down. In the afternoon, step-mother Jo put out goodies plus a veggie tray, grapes, and cuties--so thoughtful and delicious. I was almost tempted to eat some of her amazing apple strudel but refrained. Years ago she taught me how to make it. Her family is Bohemian. Today I'm taking a big fruit salad to Cousin Linda's Christmas Open House. Sure all the goodies look wonderful but they can't compare to crispy red bell peppers or juicy red raspberries. The momentary taste satisfaction from the goodies is not worth the days of pain and suffering that follow.
Garden Gate...am enjoying using my own lemons for my morning infusion and oranges for smoothies.
Pantry...bought Thia Red and Brown Jasmine rice from Lee Lee in PHX...I mix them for the most delicious rice ever. I learned this trick from our favorite Thai restaurant in PHX.
Emergency Preparedness...Joseph showed me how to print the DVDs for my video Surviving or Thriving in an Emergency...
Aging Fearlessly and Well...learn to find joy in simple daily pleasures and savor every one of them...
Project Joy...it has been wonderful visiting with family and having zero expectations for Christmas...I feel none of the usual stress or depression that visions of perfection and preconceived scenarios brings...
