Praying for...Claire and Nikki...that Americans elect a righteous man as president this time and for that matter that we do the same with all elected officials...peace, safety, shelter, and sustenance for all orphans, homeless, and those that suffer...the youth of the world that they can learn the source of true happiness.
Scripture Meditations...“The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 God will tell us all things we need to know if we choose to listen.
The Herbalist...attended a lecture on B12 deficiency and found it fascinating. Although most of the information on signs, symptoms, and treatment were review, some ideas presented knocked me off my feet. Some signs and symptoms not often discussed are insomnia, bloating and other digestive issues after eating certain foods, and the fact that B12 deficiency can be misdiagnosed as adrenal failure. Not completely bio-available to humans, oral and im treatments of cyanocobalamin are often ineffective, whereas methylcobalamin delivered through a patch is effective.
Garden Gate...the basket method didn't work for micro-greens, as they all molded. Now I'm experimenting with Sprout Master. When I do the soaking, I add liquid kelp, a couple drops of culinary grade peroxide, and a bit of azomite to the water. When they get big enough to water by dunking in a sink of water, I'll add kelp and azomite to that water. Started seeds in anticipation of a window farm in March.
My Style...my favorite outfit this week was a denim A-line skirt, patterned navy/indigo T, and navy, cotton, cable-knit sweater. The weather was warm enough that a light jacket was sufficient on my walk.
Bibliophile...reading some interesting economics and ethics texts to help with my writing in these subjects. Every author writes with bias, but some of these are so blatantly socialistic. This fact adds credence to the idea that high school and college texts teach anti-liberty, humanistic, socialistic propaganda. This idea was first outlined to me in an outdated but still valid work, Understanding the Times. Even so I'm finding choice nuggets here and there in these texts, as if they were deep mine shafts.
Serendipity...on my walk, I ran into Spencer's old piano teacher. What a nice lady. We discovered a family distant connection several years ago, which is nice in this small town of interconnected families that ignore outsiders.
Living Fearlessly and Well...one of the best prevention techniques for dementia and other disorders of this type after an excellent plant-based diet and a gallon of distilled water per day is keeping the mind active through learning. Learn a new skill, take a college class, design a personal study schedule, or all of the above.
Project Joy...I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father, who guides my paths. Since I stopped letting the complainers get under my skin, I'm having success with writing through inspiration again and enjoying the work very much. Joseph continues to be a strength and comfort. He's my hero, especially during tax time. Had a lovely long conversation with Emily. Spencer is helpful and attentive and very happy going to classes. Nikki's life is on a positive roll. The other children and their family's seem to be doing well. Anticipating Grandma's 95th birthday party next month. Enjoyed an enlightening conversation with her on my walk to the library.
