As the church added many converts from many nations, the work of administration was too big a burden for the Apostles. Like Moses, they directed that others be called to take over the administration, so they could focus on spreading the gospel.
“It is in understanding and accepting [the] universal fatherhood of God that all human beings can best appreciate God’s concern for them and their relationship to each other. This is a message of life and love that strikes squarely against all stifling traditions based on race, language, economic or political standing, educational rank, or cultural background, for we are all of the same spiritual descent. We have a divine pedigree; every person is a spiritual child of God” (Howard W. Hunter, Ensign, Nov. 1991, 18).
As in the days of the early church, the Apostles don't have the time to settle disputes and temporal business. Therefore, members are called to serve in various capacities: missionaries, bishops, presidents of priesthood, Relief Society, Young Men, Young Women, Primary, and so on. Serving blesses the lives of the served and the server. It also reduces the stress load of the leaders.

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
