Luke 24:13–35
Understandably, Cleopas and his companion sad as they walked along the road to Emmaus. They still thought the mission of Jesus was to kick the Romans out of Jeruselam, and they were sad He had been killed. Even though Jesus caught up to them, walked with them, and conversed with them, they did not recognize Him. He was in their midst, and they knew Him not. Jesus joined in their discussion as a stranger. However, it wasn't until they treated him as a friend, inviting him to stay, that they finally knew Him for their friend. "But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them." Luke 24:29 Through the scriptures, Jesus taught them His true mission.
I wonder though if I am guilty, as these disciples were, of not knowing the Savior or treating Him as a stranger? Am I so wrapped up in my insignificant life and sometimes overwhelming feelings that I miss His sweet visitations? How can I look more to Him and less inside my self?

Reading the scriptures and keeping this journal are my delight. I do not keep an online journal to preach to anyone but myself. I like this format, because I can add pictures and correct my writing easier. If you enjoy reading it, I am happy. If you feel offended, please, realize it is not my intention to offend but to teach myself. No negative comments will not be published.
